In a flipped classroom, the instructor inverts traditional teaching methods by delivering instruction online and through videos outside of the classroom and moving homework into the classroom, thereby providing students with ample opportunities to engage in authentic, application-based learning with timely and consistent feedback from the teacher.

In this course, you will answer the question, “What is the best use of face-to-face time with my students?” Should you spend your time lecturing students, or should you engage them in collaborative work that cultivates their higher-order thinking skills? By the end of the course, you will be able to identify a flipped learning model that works for your diverse classroom of students, set up a learning management system to help you streamline your course content, and plan differentiated learning activities and assessments that help your students master the knowledge and skills they need to succeed.
